On Monday, a press release revealed that Google had launched a new program in Pakistan called the AI Academy.
The purpose of launching the said program is to promote the growth of startups focused on artificial intelligence, not just in the nation, but also in the entire Asia-Pacific.

With this move, Google aims to pave the way for new cross-border partnerships and innovations. In this way, there would be an exchange of resources, expertise and ideas.
Google’s PR agency said in the press release that this would give the development of AI solutions a boost.
In addition, the APAC region would also be able to transform into a global hub for AI development. The AI Academy was launched by Google for Startups.
The press release said that this new program would provide assistance to artificial intelligence startups in Pakistan, along with the APAC region, and accelerate their growth.
The newly launched program will bring together over 20 startups that are developing AI-based technologies.
The Program
The AI Academy would offer the startups the golden opportunity to access the global AI experts of Google. They would provide the guidance and support needed.
Moreover, the startup would also receive $350,000 worth of Google Cloud Credit in its account. This would be aimed at helping the startup promote AI development as well as experimentation.
According to the press release, the program would also provide startups opportunities to collaborate and network with other similar AI startups in the region.
According to Google, it has launched the new program to help startups quickly enter the market. It wants to fast-track the process of ‘proof of concept’ as well as the creation of the product roadmap.
This could help startups in validating their AI solutions as quickly as possible.
Not only will this fast process speed up the startups’ path to success, but also highlight the actual value their innovation carries in the competitive field of artificial intelligence.

Farhan S Qureshi, the Country Director of Google Pakistan, issued a statement about the launch of the new AI Academy Program.
He said that shed light on how committed Google is when it comes to promoting and advancing the development of AI in the Asia-Pacific region.
He said that Pakistan is a vital market for the artificial intelligence industry. Therefore, they were looking forward to startup companies leveraging this opportunity to enhance their AI solutions.
He asserted that this would play a key role in strengthening the AI ecosystem in the APAC region.
The press release also announced that the program has set a deadline of August 16th for startups to submit their applications.
Google encourages AI startups to act fast and apply now, as limited spots are available, to tap into the program’s guidance and support.
